At Pomelo-Paradigm (editor of PomDoc), your trust is vital. That’s why we respect and protect your confidentiality using proven encryption methods, as well as strict guidelines about way all your data is looked after.
Security and confidentiality are at the very heart of all our software and services, particularly PomDoc. And, we’re always working to improve the privacy and security of your content.
The information we collect
Personal information
We collect some personal data including your first name, surname and email address when you sign up to our services or via the forms on our site, as well as the documents you share via our system.
This data will never be sold or communicated by Pomelo-Paradigm.
You can modify, correct or update the information directly via our site.
Cookies
We don’t use any kind of cookie or advertising tracker (e.g. pixel or fingerprinting) when you navigate the site.
The only technology that may be installed on your computer is “local storage”, which saves your navigation parameters during the session
You can delete your personal data from local storage by deactivating the cookies using your navigation tool bar. However, this may prevent you from accessing certain functionalities on the website.
Statistics & analysis
Unlike most websites, we do not analyze or extract statistics from your content or activity on the website. Nor do we use advertising or traffic analysis services (like Google Analytics), which we feel would undermine your privacy.
What happens to your personal data?
The personal information you provide will not be shared or sold to third parties by Pomelo-Paradigm.
Your data is encrypted and stored in our servers and is, under no circumstances, given to external service providers.
How is your data used?
Your personal data
When you sign up to PomDoc, we ask you for a username and email address.
Your username is visible to the other users you share your documents with;
while your email address is used to send you information about our services e.g. newly shared documents or requests to contribute to a document.
This information will not be sold or communicated by Pomelo-Paradigm.
Your content
We will not access, visualize or listen to any of your content, unless you share this information with our customer service team in order (a) answer your requests for assistance (b) detect, prevent or in any way manage problems relating to fraud, security or technical issues.
Data security
We implement a whole host of security measures to protect your data from non-authorized access, modification, divulgation or destruction.
We encrypt all communications between your navigator and our server using SSL technology.
However, we cannot guarantee the security of the computers or devices used by our customers and we strongly recommend following best practices to ensure your systems are secure e.g. security updates, firewalls and anti-virus software.
What rights do you have? How can you exercise them?
Right to access information
In accordance with Articles 39, 41 and 42 of the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access your personal data. You simply need to contact us by email at contact[at]pomelo-paradigm.com.
You can ask us to provide you with all the data we hold about you. Exercising your right to access information enables you to check the accuracy of the information and correct or delete it if necessary.
Right to modify information
In accordance with Article 40 of the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to correct, complete, update, block or erase any information about you.
